Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026.

In short

  • This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking, ads or embedded content from other companies.
  • The live numbers (players online, downloads) are loaded from our database at Supabase; a download click adds 1 to a counter, without any personal data.
  • Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the website.
  • The mod has no telemetry. Its logo sync stores your Minecraft UUID and can be switched off.

1. Who is responsible

This website and the Toad’s Visuals mod are run by the Toad’s Visuals team.

You can reach us on our Discord server. See also the imprint.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page or download a file, your browser automatically sends technical information that Cloudflare processes to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and misuse:

  • your IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • the page or file requested and the amount of data transferred
  • the website you came from (referrer), if your browser sends it
  • browser type, version and operating system (user agent)

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable and fast website. We do not combine this data with other data and do not use it to identify you. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union. How long Cloudflare keeps this data and how it protects transfers is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

3. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies. When you click a download button, the site notes in your browser’s session storage that this file was already counted, so the counter does not count it twice; this note is deleted when you close the tab and never leaves your browser. If Cloudflare’s security systems check a request (for example during an attack), Cloudflare may set a short-lived, technically necessary cookie for that purpose.

4. Analytics and third-party content

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or social media plugins. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from this website itself, so opening a page does not contact companies such as Google. The only other service the website talks to is our database for the live numbers (see the next section).

The mod files themselves are hosted at Dropbox (Dropbox, Inc., USA, and Dropbox International Unlimited Company, Ireland). Dropbox is only contacted when you click a download button: your browser then fetches the file directly from Dropbox, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver it. See Dropbox’s privacy policy.

5. Live numbers and download counter

The home and download pages show how many players are playing with Toad’s Visuals right now, how many players there are in total and how often the mod was downloaded. To show these numbers, your browser loads them from our database, hosted by Supabase, Inc. (USA). Like every web server, Supabase processes technical data such as your IP address to answer the request; see Supabase’s privacy policy. The player numbers are counted from the mod’s logo sync list (section 8); no names are shown.

When you click a download button, your browser tells the database to add 1 to the counter of that version. Only the version and the Minecraft version are stored, together with the number of downloads – no IP address, no cookie, no identifier. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in showing how the mod is used.

This website links to other services, for example Discord, Modrinth and the Fabric website. They only receive data when you click such a link and open their site. From then on, their own privacy policies apply.

7. Contacting us

If you contact us (for example by email or on Discord), we use your message and contact details only to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message concerns a contract. We delete the messages when they are no longer needed, unless we must keep them by law.

8. The Toad’s Visuals mod

The mod has no telemetry: it does not send statistics, play time, your packs or your settings anywhere. Your settings stay on your computer in config/toadsvisuals. A few features do exchange data, and only for what they do:

Logo sync

Logo sync shows the Toad’s Visuals logo of players of the mod to each other. It is on by default and can be switched off at any time in the mod under Settings → Privacy → Logo sync. While it is on:

  • the mod asks Mojang’s session server to confirm that you own your Minecraft account, the same check that happens when you join an online-mode server (Mojang’s and Microsoft’s privacy terms apply to this request);
  • the mod sends your Minecraft name and a random one-time code to our online list. The list checks the code with Mojang and then stores your Minecraft UUID, your logo type and the time of your last check-in;
  • while you play, this check-in is repeated every five minutes. It keeps your logo visible and is used to show how many players of the mod are online;
  • the mod loads the list of all players with a logo. This list (UUIDs, logo types and check-in times) can be read by every copy of the mod.

The online list is hosted by Supabase, Inc. (USA), which also processes technical request data such as IP addresses; see Supabase’s privacy policy. Your Minecraft login token is never sent to us. Switching logo sync off removes your entry. Entries that are not refreshed for 60 days are no longer shown, and you can ask us to delete your entry at any time. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in showing the logo feature to players of the mod, which you can object to by switching it off.

Other features

  • Discord status (off by default) only talks to the Discord app on your own computer, which then shows the status on your profile. Discord’s privacy policy applies.
  • Nick with another player’s skin: when you choose a skin, Minecraft looks up that player name and loads the skin from Mojang, as it does for player heads.
  • Share my player logo (off by default): on servers that support it, the mod tells the server which logo you use, and nothing else.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15),
  • have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16),
  • have your data deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18),
  • receive your data in a common format (Art. 20),
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
  • complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77).

To use these rights, contact us as described in section 1.

10. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the mod changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. The current version is always at toadvisuals.lol/privacy.
